Our WMS Fall Book Fair is fast approaching!! We will be setting up on Thursday and the students will come down in their SSLs for a sneak peak starting on Friday. The Book Fair officially takes place during Student-Led Conferences on 10/3 and 10/8 but students will be able to purchase books during the school day if they wish. The community is also invited to this event! The more books we sell, the more books we are able to put in students' hands. What a great thing for students to be a part of!
Greetings! My name is Ms. Anderson and I am the Library Media Specialist at Williston Middle School. This is my fourth year at WMS. I taught two years of Language Arts on the Green team before pursuing my Master's degree in Instructional Technology and Library Science allowing me to move to the library. My favorite book changes frequently, as does my favorite song. Currently, my favorite book is With Their Eyes which was written by a group of high schoolers from New York City. Stop by the comment page and share your favorite book or song or thought for the day. My family moved to Williston when I was seven years old, so most of my educational years were spent in the Williston education system. Go Coyotes!!!!! Our library serves the majority of Williston's population of 7th and 8th grade students. We have quite the variety of fiction and nonfiction texts, and during the 2013-2014 school year we will be focusing on labeling our texts to fit with the new Common Core Standards. LIFE IS EITHER A DARING ADVENTURE OR NOTHING. -Helen Keller
